Researching technologies now scores on a board of its own and in your overall rank, an accepted card pays its artist platinum, and each Curator's Office holds its own decks.

## Added

- Your research now scores on its own leaderboard, counted in your overall rank: ten points a technology, and a quarter point for every research point it cost.
- An accepted card pays its artist platinum: 100 for your first, 25 for each one after, up to 250 in any 30 days. See After you submit.
- Sending a deck to a city that already holds one offers a swap. A ship leaves each Port, and both decks land together.
- A deck master's Signature can name a minion type, the same way a card's abilities can.
- New-player protection has a help page of its own, and the dove beside a town name opens it. The raid box tells you how long yours has left and that raiding ends it for good.

## Changed

- Each Curator's Office holds its own decks, and there is no empire-wide limit any more. A city holding more decks than its office allows moves the spares into free slots as soon as any open.
- The Art Studio opens a pack on the focus you printed with last, so printing for one artist or one card no longer means finding the choice again.
- Another player's Diplomat, and the blank mannequin standing in for an avatar they have not uploaded, are drawn in their empire's art style, not yours.
- A building page groups the luxury producers together when it lists the same building in your other cities.
- Protection countdowns tick by the second wherever they are shown.

## Fixed

- A building's worker and researcher sliders open at the city you are looking at. They used to keep the last city's values until you refreshed.
- Your advisor stops telling you to build a Curator's Office in a city where one is already going up.

A deck now sails only to a city whose Curator's Office has a free slot, each office shows the decks in its own city, and automatic battles finish the kills they start.

## Changed

- A deck can only be sent to a city with a Curator's Office and a free deck slot. The Port marks cities without room.
- Each Curator's Office shows only the decks in its own city, and a deck on its way there is marked On the way here. A new deck is made in that office's city.
- Your advisor suggests selling at the Auction House only when a city's store is full.
- Research waits and countdowns longer than a day show days, such as 1d 6h.

## Fixed

- In automatic battles, once minions start on a kill, the rest of the group finishes it.

Overgrown Gallery wins now pay platinum, which buys a city's last building plot and extra supply lines, and Appraisers can look inside another player's city before you raid it.

## Added

- Winning at the Overgrown Gallery pays platinum, shown in the menu bar beside your General. Your first win at each level pays the most, and it comes home in the hold with the rest of the loot.
- Every city has two more building plots: one opens with Urban Planning research, and the other is unlocked with platinum.
- Train Appraisers at the new Appraiser's Office and send them to another player's city to read its buildings, its Storehouse or a sample of its deck, or to find weak points in its wall before a raid. Warders trained at your Art Gallery catch the ones sent to you. See Scouting.
- A supply line beyond your free coffee line can carry any resource, for platinum, 30 days at a time.
- The details of a card list every copy you own: its grade, and whether it is in a deck, on a gallery wall, for sale or at sea.
- Your Diplomat can mark a conversation as unread.
- Your advisor tells you what an Auction House is for, and when something goes on sale there.
- Hover over a resource's bar to see how much you hold out of how much you can store.
- Generate Entire Card with AI on the submit form writes a card's name, text and numbers from its picture.

## Changed

- The Shipping Office writes each supply line as one sentence you set with dropdowns, says why a run sent nothing, and lists its recent shipments.
- Losing a raid on another player wears the attacker's fallen cards and deck master. The defender's cards never wear.
- A repair takes time for each grade of wear, and the card keeps its old grade until it is done. You can repair while other cards are still on the bench.
- The Auction House shows cards for sale as full cards, with filters folded behind one button.
- The deck editor shows your deck master first.
- When shipping resources, the -1k button sits before the amount.

## Fixed

- Sending a reply to your Diplomat no longer scrolls the page to the top.
- A supply line no longer says every city is topped up when its next run is about to send.

The deck editor can fill a deck for you, Overgrown Gallery levels 5 to 10 open as their cards arrive, and abilities can name a minion type.

## Added

- Auto add cards in the deck editor fills a short deck from your free cards, and adds a deck master if it has none. It keeps what you already put in and leaves Save to you.
- Overgrown Gallery levels 5 to 10 each open as soon as all of their cards are in the game.
- An ability aimed at minions can name a minion type: give every friendly Slime +1/+1, or destroy a damaged Dragon. A summoned minion keeps its card's type.
- Angel, Dragon, Merfolk, Nekomimi and Statue are new minion types, people are typed by what they do (Cleric, Cyborg, Engineer, Mage or Warrior), and Folk is gone.

## Changed

- Your decks at the Curator's Office are a grid of boxes. The deck master's name opens that card, the count shows only while a deck is short, and New deck opens an Unnamed Deck in the editor.
- Taking a deck apart is now Delete deck, which asks first and puts its cards back in your collection.
- An Art Gallery shows one copy of each card. A card already on the wall says Already hung in the collection below it.
- Choose how many transports sail on a raid with a slider.
- Every building page ends with the city's resources, headed with the city's name.
- The city menu shows each building's level beside its name.

## Fixed

- A card on an Art Gallery wall shows the satisfaction it gives at its condition, not the figure for a Pristine copy.
- The rates beside a worker slider count your technologies and art movement, so they match the resource bar.
- An ability that destroys or returns every minion on a side now reaches all of them, not only the first.

Raid your neighbours, defend your cities with a deck and a Town Wall, and play the battle yourself when both of you are online.

## Added

- Raids between players. Send a deck at a neighbour from their city page and choose the ships. The defender is told the moment it sails, and raids on one city queue.
- Post a deck to defend each city from its Defence box. A city with no posted deck defends with any free deck of yours, or with its Town Wall alone.
- When a raid lands, both players are offered the controls for sixty seconds. If both take them, you play it live with a turn clock and choose opening hands at the same time; anyone who does not is played by their deck's playstyle.
- Loot leaves the defender's store as it is loaded and reaches the attacker when the fleet is home. An attacker can cast off before loading is done.
- New accounts are protected from raids for their first days, shown by a dove beside the town's name. Attacking another player ends it.
- The PvP leaderboard ranks players by raids won, with Attacker and Defender records.
- Your General lists raids you sent and raids on your cities as soon as they are fought, with a loading countdown and a replay, and counts down to the next raid in the menu, red when one is coming at you.
- Choose a deck's playstyle: Automatic, Aggro, Midrange or Control. It plays any side nobody is controlling.
- Replays can be paused and stepped a turn at a time.
- Open a neighbour's city and send them resources from your Port.
- Archive a Diplomat conversation, and reply with OK, a thumbs up, a Deal sign or no picture.
- The menu lists each city's buildings under it.
- The deck editor shows the deck's mana curve beside its name.
- Choose how many settlers sail with an expedition, up to what the new city's Town Hall supports.

## Changed

- The Town Wall is the only target an attack may take until it falls, and grows more slowly with its level.
- Overgrown Gallery raids are fought by hand, with no autoplay or skip.
- Battles animate more: targets rise when a minion picks one, hits shake what they strike, destroyed cards shake before they leave, and played cards float between the boards before landing.
- A live battle pauses five seconds between turns so the last turn can finish playing out.
- Building pages put the level in the title, what a level buys above its price, and both buttons on one row. The upgrade rebate is shown as a figure.
- The Port sends its hold with one button per city, names both ends of a shipment and links them, and steps amounts by 1k.
- Island addresses read as Island at 48:27.
- A gallery card shows its worth as satisfaction.
- Public profiles lay out leaderboard ranks in columns on phones and tablets.
- A Statehouse level now costs the same as the same Capitol Building level.

## Fixed

- The Diplomat's reply box empties after sending, and Send stays off until there is something to send.

Your decks each sit in one city, defend it from the Town Wall and sail between your cities, and your advisor's tips no longer hold up the page.

## Added

- Every one of your decks is in one city, and one of them defends it. The Defence box sits under that city's Town Wall, and a city with no deck defends with its wall alone.
- Send a deck to another of your cities from a Port. It walks free across its own island, and it defends nothing until it lands.
- A raid takes only the decks in the city it leaves from.
- When you suggest a card yourself, a second Generate with AI proposes its class, numbers, abilities and rarity from your piece and the name, flavour and description you have typed. Change any of it before you submit.
- The upgrade panel lists what the busy construction crews are building, with a link to each.
- Lines in the changelog link to the help pages for what they mention.

## Changed

- Your advisor's tips load after the page has drawn and refresh only when something has changed, so moving around the game no longer waits on them.
- Every page that reads your research is faster.
- The reminder we email when you have been away says that your account will be deactivated, when, and what it costs you. Turn those emails off in settings.

## Fixed

- The battle offer, raid arrival and match result dialogs put their buttons on the right, like every other dialog.
- Your advisor no longer asks the server over and over behind a clock that has stood still, and a tab left open while you signed out elsewhere wakes up when you sign back in.

A building's page lists that building in each of your towns, every city's menu opens on its island, and a raid on a player who is not there can be played by hand.

## Added

- A building's page carries a row of the towns where you have one, with the level each has reached. Press one to read that town's. A town with two Storehouses shows both.
- The list under a city in My empire opens with Island at its address, drawn with that island's own tile from the world map.
- Your Diplomat has a sheepish face to send, and the emotion picker is a grid that fits the screen you are on.

## Changed

- When you raid someone who has not played in a long time, you can take the controls and play the match yourself. Their deck plays their side. Against everyone else, you still play by hand only if they do too.

## Fixed

- Your advisor no longer asks you to upgrade a Statehouse your crews are already building to that level.
- Generate with AI on the submit form answers again, and a reply is no longer thrown away for using a word like bearer.
- The options in a dropdown are drawn in your colour scheme, so they can be read in dark mode.

Write to other players through your Diplomat, follow your battles with your General, and every player now has a public profile.

## Added

- The Diplomat, a second advisor in the menu bar. Write to other players by display name, pick one of ten emotions for each message, and block or report a conversation. Choose from four Diplomats in Settings.
- You get a notification when a Diplomat message arrives.
- The General, a third portrait in the menu bar, reports your raids: those still under way and those fought, with outcome, loot and replay. Choose from four Generals in Settings.
- Every player has a public profile with an avatar, a short bio, an optional DeviantArt link, leaderboard ranks and the cards made from their own art. Player names link to it, and a profile can be reported.
- Filter cards by rarity on the card list, in the deck editor, on the Art Gallery wall and in the recycler.
- The advisor asks you to name each new city still called Settlement.
- Settings has an email choice for updates on feedback you posted.

## Changed

- From September 16, every producer, the Lumber Yard included, adds 2% a level, and production bonuses are no longer capped. Resources produced before then are kept.
- Your display name, password and sign-in connections are on Settings. Profile opens your public profile.
- A raid under way shows in the Overgrown Gallery box in place of the Raid button.
- Sell spare resources waits until you have an Auction House and opens the highest one. The idle crew tip waits until the city can afford something, and the corruption tip hides while the Statehouse upgrade that ends it is going up.
- Tips that repeat are listed after tips you finish once.
- Emails count when they are opened and when their links are followed. The Privacy page explains how.
- The Auction House says for sale, and asks where to deliver only when there is something to buy.
- The Statehouse panel shows the level needed, and a Town Hall named in a build page lock links to this city's Town Hall.

## Fixed

- A build tip no longer sends you to a city with no free plot for the building.

Adopt an art style for your empire, send coffee on a standing supply line, and research new branches that open more cities, taller walls and focused packs.

## Added

- Art styles. Research Movements at the Research Institute, then adopt a style at the Capitol Building. A style has a bonus and a drawback for every city, and changing it starts a period of unrest.
- Your buildings, advisor, Generals, Diplomats, crews and scenes are drawn in your empire's art style, and as wireframes during unrest.
- The Shipping Office runs a coffee supply line: a standing order that sends spare coffee from its city to your other cities every 1 to 24 hours.
- Recall a shipment still at sea from the Port or My empire. The whole hold comes home after as long as it had been out.
- In an Arena match, a Town Wall can stand in front of the defender. It guards the deck master, hits back when attacked, and gains Reach from level 6.
- Four new research branches: Civics, Fortification, Trade and Curation. They raise the city cap, let walls grow past levels 10, 20 and 30, add Auction House listings and reach, and improve repairs, recycling, collection room and deck slots. Empires that already had more cities or taller walls keep them.
- Research tiers now need a Research Institute level, and tier 2 of Resources adds Stoneworking, Coffee Cultivation, Glassmaking and Mana Extraction.
- Focus a pack at the Art Studio from level 3, towards new releases, a class, a minion type, a keyword, an artist or a named card.
- The collection leaderboard ranks players by the different cards they hold and by complete artist portfolios, and the overall board now counts it.
- The PvE leaderboard shows gallery levels and your raid record. Each leaderboard has a help page explaining its score.
- Choose your time zone in Settings. Every time in the game is shown in it.
- A public profile can show pronouns and a country with its flag.
- The deck editor has a cards view with a minus and plus on every card, Reset deck, and deck masters added like any other card.
- Advisor tips suggest building a Town Wall, practising against one in the Arena, and raising it to level 6.
- The Diplomat shows each player's avatar beside their name.

## Changed

- The Research Institute's research is split into an overview and a tab per branch.
- An Auction House sees and buys listings within its level plus one hexes. For sale is split into cards, with card filters, and resources, priced per unit.
- From September 16, Research Institute levels cost glass and less stone. Levels already built keep what they cost.
- Battles no longer end at thirty turns. Once a deck runs out, Depleted damage rises with every draw until the match ends.
- The battlefield is redesigned: both boards form one card, tiles show the card's art with the name on hover, targeting minions land first and then pick a target, and the hand is a grid of six on desktop. Cards drawn over a full hand are wiped away.
- Card filters fit on one line with dropdowns for classes, types, keywords, rarities and sort, and keep the page where it was scrolled.
- Signing in returns you to the page you were on. The Submit page asks for email confirmation and a DeviantArt connection itself.
- The leaderboard shows each player's avatar and a message icon beside their name.
- The advisor box can be closed with an X, which stops tips showing in game screens.
- The footer links to the Discord server.

## Fixed

- The Auction House fits on a phone.

Art Empires is a city-building empire game you play in your browser. Found a city, put your people to work gathering resources, construct and upgrade buildings, research new technologies, and expand with ships and colonies. The cards are the part I love most: every one is a deviation, submitted by the artist who made it. Build a deck, play practice matches in the Arena, open packs, and hang your favorite cards in your Galleries.
